The founder

From a childhood dream to a modern farm

The son of a farmer from the Kapolondougou commune, Dr Adama Sanogo grew up working alongside his father on the village farmland. A former pupil of the experimental rural school of N’Kourala, he spent four years there learning to combine theory and practice: farming, livestock, masonry, metalwork, carpentry and sewing.

The stream that made the plain farmable dried up before he was old enough to take over. From this came the idea of FAMZ: bringing the family land back to life with modern methods — solar energy, livestock and crops monitored daily, digital management.

His goal is not personal wealth: FAMZ aims to create formal salaried jobs, with pension rights, for young people who, like him, are the children of farmers. He also supports the commune through school kits, evening classes and training for the community health centre staff.
