Gradual expansion · Phase 1 · 2027-2028
FAMZ in the near future
Consolidate what works, then grow in measured steps: more eggs, vegetables and fish for the local market, declared rural jobs, and skills passed on to young people and women in the Kapolondougou commune.
Expected results
What Phase 1 should deliver
Deliberately cautious targets, calculated at the selling price actually observed in 2026.
At full operation, the additional production amounts to:
The programme
Seven components
Every investment is triggered by verified results: capacity is reduced before any order rather than compromising health requirements.
Preparation and compliance
Signed inventory, veterinary, agronomic, fish-farming and water-energy assessments, environmental study as advised by the competent services, plans and quotes.
Poultry
Rehabilitation and biosecurity, two modules of 500 places, small feed-mixing unit, 1,000 point-of-lay pullets, packaging and distribution.
Protected vegetables
A documented cycle in the existing greenhouse, then a 300 m² greenhouse and its irrigation if the margin is positive.
Fish-farming pilot
Survey and rehabilitation of the existing ponds; a 500 kg pilot in 2028, then up to 1 t/year if two cycles are successful.
Water and energy
Borehole flow measurement, storage, solar pumping, protection and a back-up solution.
Skills and jobs
20 places in practical modules: biosecurity, records, irrigation, costing and sales.
Management and accountability
Digital traceability, closing of accounts and independent review by a chartered accountant.
Timeline
Two years, two stages
The second module only goes ahead if the first delivers three consecutive months of positive margin, with no open health risk.

Beyond 2028
Towards an integrated agropastoral hub
In the longer term, FAMZ aims to create the Integrated Agropastoral Hub of Zignébougou (PAIZ): larger-scale laying-hen farming, a feed mill supplied with maize and soy by neighbouring cooperatives, a fish-farming unit, a practical training centre and digital management.
This second phase will only be considered if the first demonstrates, over at least twelve months, a positive margin, certified accounts, health control and confirmed markets.
